Rest and Recovery

When your body says slow but your mind says go

No matter what your goals are; physically, socially, emotionally, or even professionally, never underestimate the power of taking time for rest and recovery. (And yes, those of you that have seen me or talked with me since my dental surgery know I have been on a roller coaster with this very thought: my body needs rest, but I also need to be doing A, B, and C)

Rest can mean something different to every person

Rest can look different depending on the situation, it’s not all laying around reading (although I do love that!) It can be removing yourself from a situation for a period of time, taking a walk instead of lifting or intense cardio, it can be stretching after sitting at a desk. This not only gives your body a rest, but also your mind and soul.

Let me know: how are you resting today?
